SOCCER

I was looking at the History table and noticed that there was no information about the 1973 soccer team championship. We pushed to get the LAUSD to offer soccer as an official LAUSD sport and succeded in 1973, we ended up winning the first ever championship against Franklin H.S 2 to 1 (I still have my trophy from that year). I Graduated in 1974 as the Majectics Class and kept playing soccer for another 25 years at different levels. My nieces and nephews still go and some have graduated as Tigers. Had my best years as a TIGER and will Always remember Mr. Wicox who volunteered as our soccer Coach for the first two years. Thanks for the opportunity you have given me to share my fine years at San Fernando High School.
