• 1903 First Orange Blossom yearbook, the third oldest yearbook in Southern California
• 1915 Local school system was annexed by the larger of Los Angeles Unified School District
• 1925, 1926, 1934, 1937 Los Angeles City Champions in Football
• 1926, 1937 Tiger Band selected to march in Pasadena Tournament of Roses
• 1941 Senior Orchestra won first place in Southern California Music Festival
• 1941-45 More than $300,000 in War Stamps and Bonds were bought and solicited by students and faculty
• 1946 San Fernando Fine Arts Association founded
• 1952 Present site of San Fernando High opens - "Los Angeles' Most Beautiful High School"
• 1953, 1967, 1974, 1975 Los Angeles City Champions in Football
• 1971 Perfect season in Boy's Basketball (14-0)
• 1973 soccer team champions.  The LAUSD offered soccer as an official LAUSD sport.  We won the first ever championship against Franklin High, 2 to 1.

• 1988 Varsity Basketball League Champions; Varsity Baseball City Finalists, JV Baseball League Champions
• 1989-2001 Band and Drill City Champions for 13 years in a row
• 2009, San Fernando’s Academic Decathlon team participated in the annual citywide competition on February 7. The team placed 23rd overall out of 64 teams competing. They achieved 8th place in the Super Quiz Relay and had 8 of its team members ranked in the top 100 competitors. The team also won Conference Awards when it placed 4th overall out of 10 teams competing and 2nd in music, 3rd in art, 3rd in economics, and 3rd in social science.
